What is a Life of Purpose?
The best explanation I’ve heard of Life Purpose is in Steve Jobs 2005 Stanford commencement address.
Jobs shares three stories about connecting the dots, Love & Loss and Death. My favorite quote in his 15 minute speech is “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
I’ve watched this video over and over again, each time getting goose bumps. It was and still is the impetus for me to change my life to do what I love.
